Permanent Residence and Extension

Hi,

Is it possible to apply for Permanent Residence while your Residence Permit is still valid? For example: A person gets Residence Permit for 4 years and he is eligible to get Permanent Residence after 1 year, can he apply for PR while 3 years are still left for RP to expire?

It’s not only possible but you must. ” Your continuous residence permit must still be valid when you apply for a permanent residence permit”
