Is it nice to be 3rd country citizen right now? Brexit was served!
I imagine most of the people on here wouldn't have voted for it. People like me who have lived in Finland over 15 years weren't even allowed to vote. Maybe save your hubris for the people who did vote for it.

I made a late brexit application - 6 days late !

Reasonable grounds was that I did not receive any notifications by email- letter -or phone.

Anybody been in a situation like this
What's your current situation?

I was 4 weeks late with my application. I used the same reasons that you gave.
Then I went for the interview at Finnish Immigration Service.
They requested some documents last week.
I sent evidence that I've been working here in Finland legally for at least 5 years. (Work contracts and salary income)
They accepted my application this week. Waiting for my residence permit card to arrive through the post.
