Someone told me that stage 2 takes 2 weeks, it might take longer in this holiday season when so many are on holiday. My application went to stage 2 last week.
So basically its due to summer and holiday session not due to some hiccups ? It is an absolute nerve this stage 2 !! Specially most of people i have known their stage 2 was less than afew min !!
Well, I got to stage 2 on 16th June and still, nothing has happened. So I think it's not rare.
Did they ask you for extera docs ?

I think it depends just from the official, who makes the decision...

I was thinking the other day, what if the person who is processing your application goes on a month-long holiday? What then? I guess we just have to wait. I also think megri makes these inquiries, and if many are on holiday in the corresponding office then the inquiries also take longer.
By fact i know. When our file assign to a case officer that office must complete the file and as unfortunate it is if case officer is out of office due to any reasons, case processing will stop or delay.
And these days most case officers are young women and some times they go for maternity leaves over a year !!!

hello, congratulations! when did you visit megrim and what was your queue number when you received the decision?
I visited in November and queue number was around 42xx when I got the decision.
I received the decision right after I got the notification that my application moved to 2nd stage.
Hi, may I ask you, on which day in November you visited? Just visited in the mid-November, 11th, now the number is 45xx.
I visited 11th Nov too :)

Ooops...

So I have got a message at 13.35 today that processing of my application has begun...My number is now 4,293 and I visited migri 11 of november, as I had written...

Kind of worried...I really wonder, why lines and speed in them is so different. Just in case I have 7 years of researcher visa in finland, of them 5 as A, though passed YKI 3,3,3 (puhuminen is less than three). Also the drawback is that as a researcher in uni i usually have temporary job contracts, which are extended in the next year, so I have the temporary one, though for 6 more months. But women in migri told me, that it does not matter. Wonder, if I has to attach resuls of other YKI, where puhuminen is passed and info about membership in Liitto...(proving unemployement benefits in future). Will try to attach it today.

I will advice you not to panic and do not add any information that they have not asked you for. More information will raise some problem. Remember you are in Finland every agent do on their own way. If they ask you add but if not keep waiting. Best of luck

I agree 100%. Don't add information that might raise more questions. Only answer the questions you are asked, no extra details. And good luck to you.
My application went to second stage 23.6 almost 2 weeks ago, my queue number was 4130 that day and now it is 3990. I feel that the queue is still moving forward but very slowly.

Why???
The needed scores are quite clear:
https://migri.fi/en/national-certificat ... iency-yki-

listening comprehension 3 or 4
writing 3 or 4

Did you pass puhuminen AFTER applying for citizenship?
