I think factors like having a permanent job and having ‘adequate family ties’ to the country could be cumulatively reasons for the ‘faster’ processing time
Yeah right , everyone here has "adequate family ties , and not only do I have a permanent job , I am at the highest tax bracket and security clearance !
so no , you got it by mere luck !
@hotplay >>> You’ve said it all.

Right??? It is complete !"#¤% when people make comments like that as if the people waiting somehow have inferior applications. Mate, we also have great jobs and community involvement in this country. You're not special, just lucky.

Yes a very condescending statement .I am normally happy for those who get a decision regardless of whether applied before or after me ,but then again a statement like that of this drew guy just shows the entitled character of the person which sadly take away any joy you might have felt for them

I think they are right to think that way because Migri made them think their cases are better than ours. I came here as master student and graduated in 2017 from the best university of Finland in IT field. I have very high salary with permanent job. I have never been on social money nor I have committed any crimes. I am married and have 3 kids with finnish woman and they are finnish. I am waiting for almost 14 months. I do not have the best case either but my case is far from bad. So please for people who made such funny comments to say they have good case that is why they are getting decision faster. Try to think that there are even people with company and big investment in Finland in this forum that have been waiting for more than 15 months.

Last time one guy mentioned same thing saying he has straight forward case with good job and came with residence permit that ia why he got his deciaiom faster. Try to not underestimate people thinking that people who are waiting longer are causing problems or do not have jobs here.

Some of us feel discriminated because we have more than straight forward cases that we should have decision in less than a week in a country that has good system.

Lets just be patient, one day they are forced to process our applications. I know it feels frustrating but we do not have choices here. Our complains do not change anything either. I have complains more than 10 times nothing changed.

It's important to encourage open discussion about why certain procedures could be sped up. Let people freely share their analyses and opinions on their own applications. Please refrain from pressing them here. You may later reason against their evaluations; people read everything and draw their judgments. I am personally keen to hear a personal assessment of someone's application and what could be their potential strengths. I found no other source to access good information on this matter.

Congratulations! When did you apply? What was your queue number before you got the decision?

Wow... Migri is working on a Saturday. Hope they work everyday and clear the backlog soon.

According to their statistic page, Migri was relatively inactive last month. Approximately 700 applications were investigated, down from the prior month's total of 1000.

On the statistics page there are data about refused citizenship...seems like the % of refusals is 15% ... quite big...

Funny part is that, when you wake up early in the morning ,the first thing you will check ”your email and sms” sometimes you can open your email more 20x. Indeed migri is frustrating some of us. 17kk still in stage one. Hmmmm
