Hi,
I have a strange doubt.
Do all Sauna come with rocks?
I recently purchased a house and see there are no rocks and it looks like there is no place to put rocks. Its harvia heater that i have.
Any advice? TIA

Re: Sauna heater
A picture would help. Some stoves are meant to be always warm ("aina valmis"), in which case they have a lid, under which the rocks are. In some stoves, instead of individual rocks, there's a stone surface onto which water is thrown.

I think this is the model (though may not be same capacity)

Re: Sauna heater
I've had that style for many years. It's really good because the water does no come in direct contact with the heating element but only lands on those thick stone blocks. The steam is much "softer" thanks to that.
They are not new though, mine is perhaps 15 years old or more.
Do not throw the water into those ventilation slots on the top though, the water then directly lands on the heating element and you defeat the whole purpose of the thick stone block design.
