A silly question while using bus card in buses and trams. If i validate my ticket (by tapping the bus card) and change the bus or tram with in the valid time, do I need to tap the card at every change? or I can just go and sit in my next connection?
the wording is bit unclear

Re: Use of bus card
edit: sorry, assumed that you were talking about HSL area since you didn't specify the city. In Helsinki there is no need to validate your ticket at the machine.

Re: Use of bus card
It's optional but they like you to do it because then they can track what journeys people are doing and how popular the different bus/train routes are. Also by asking you to validate the ticket it reminds people who have taken too long to complete their journey that the ticket is no longer valid or they have gone outside the zones the original ticket was bought for.
The same logic applies for people with season tickets, they should supposedly validate them every time they travel by bus/train/tram/metro but most people are not doing that (if they were then you'd see 100% of passengers boarding a tram or train validating their ticket - in Helsinki you certainly do not see 100% validating their ticket).
