What are the hospitals (Public or Private) that allowed elective C section in Finland?
If mother do not like normal birth because of her preference how to get elective C section? Any private hospitals to get this done?

There are no private hospitals in Finland to perform C-section at all. Although you can have your pregnancy monitored and go to "neuvola" privately and also have private pediatric services with your child, child birth in all its forms are in public hospitals only. Home birth with a specialized midwife is possible as well (at your own responsibility and funding), but only around 75 births yearly (in the country) out of around 50000 are planned home deliveries. All private sector monitoring of pregnancy is costly, if not covered by your employer. Through neuvola - if you are eligible - all appointments, labs, scans and referrals are free of charge.

C-section is always considered as a medical necessity and there is no way to "book a C-section" on a certain date at your will. It is a major surgery and vaginal birth is considered to have less risks and more benefits to both mother and the child. For instance fear of childbirth is considered medical necessity, and is one of the main reasons to elective C-section in Finland. To get an elective C-section you should contact your neuvola and talk about your needs to have the C-section. They will refer you to discuss the matter in your delivery hospital, if a vaginal delivery is out of question for you.
