They wouldn’t make any refunds, so best bet is to apply not earlier than 3 months before afaik
Is enterFinland down again for everyone?
Seems to be working again (just checked).

7 months..? Good luck with that cos some of us are waiting for 20 months and over...
I am using this as an argument that it's fine to maybe apply early as Migri says it takes 7-25 months.
My experience... I applied for citizenship last August, roughly two months before I'd fulfilled the four-year residency requirement. My application was accepted, and there was no problem either at my in-person appointment (also in August) to prove my identity. My application is still waiting for processing, so I assume things are as they should be.

Update for the forum’s stats:

Proved my identity in the end of September
Application moved to stage 2 at lunchtime today, half an hour later received a positive decision.

Incredibly fast, I was mentally prepared to wait for ages.

Congrats man! That was super fast. This is no way to begrudge you but I can’t imagine how it must feel for folks who have been waiting for years at stage 1 or even stage 2 for months 😅. Congrats once more

Thanks everyone!
Nope, they made a decision on Friday, I just wasn’t able to open and read the decision because of service error in EnterFinland, but now I know

Best of luck and I am wishing everyone to get their decision asap, it’s mind crushing how random and slow the process is

Hello, was your country on the red list...? You are lucky mate I feel happy for you. It's just that migri is so selective and bias which is unfair.

Hmmmm say that again waiting for 20 months and counting......still stage one. Funny thing is that you don't even know when you gonna get it. Looks like the queue number is just a mockery.

I have been working full time with a permanent contract, never was in Kela support, nor studied here, moved in for work.
Country not on the list.
I applied solely on the base of work, but I did add my CV that reflected ties with Finnish companies and I was adding my payslips there every 3 months, I have no idea if that helped though. Anyway, they never asked for any additional info
Hope that helps

Well, it doesn't really explain anything :| Moved to Finland from Russia as a special expert, working full-time since day one for a major company - and still waiting in queue for a year without any progress at all :?

What can I say because it defies logic why some get their decision so fast and others have to wait till eternity..😀
