Permanent Residency requirements!

I have been in Finland for 4 years on a temporary permit and now wish to apply for a permanent one. During this time I had a noise related accident lost 80% of hearing in both ears. Due to this medical condition I was unable to work for the whole 4 years because I couldn't hear people around me. Now when I apply for a permanent resident permit, do I have to declare my source of income etc and my job history? How important is it that the applicant must have a job at the time of permanent residence application? Will my disability hinder my chances of becoming a permanent resident?

I think it's just that you need to have had the same RP continuously for it's duration, no interruptions and all the usual requirements to keep it valid are still valid.
