My application went on 2nd stage 3 weeks ago after 6 months of waiting to process.

However I haven’t heard any single thing from Migri, no contact, no supplement request, nothing. I am starting to think that they have either forgot me or put me on the eternal queue. I called migri but they just say that I have to wait…

Anyone heard any experience somehow sounds like this?
I recall in this thread someone in the same situation has submitted further recent payrolls to the application and after that their applications are processed. Not sure if it is a coincidence or if this method helps.

Just got my decision, funny coincidence when I was finally fed up and opened up here

This was a truly painful and nervous process starting all the way from YKI tests. I would like to thank everyone in this forum who provided every little bit of information and support. And I wish a speedy process to all 2022 applications.

Here is some info on my case for data purposes:

Came in 2018 as a student with B permit
Got my first full time job and A permit(work) in 2020
Passed YKI in March 2023.
Applied citizenship in September 2023 (queue number 8002)
Moved to second stage early March 2023 (queue number 5500~)

Finnish spouse and 1 year of unemployment due to layoffs.

Got the decision today.

Great. Congratulations!!! An optimistic news for me who is also nervous waiting these days even though my queue is just around 57xx. I am also some sort of same background as came in 2018 as student, consistently pay tax since 2019 as trainee and 2020 as permanent employee. Hope to hear good news soon.

Congratulations and thank you for your wishes for the 2022 people (we need it)
just a question for info: if you are unemployed when you apply, should you provide any documents, or does migri get that info directly from Kela

Did you guys add more documents after half a year etc?
(If no travels, no new passport)

They should get the latest tax information from vero directly, so I guess we don’t really need to send any new statements, or should we?

This week's stats:
It looks like this week Migri processed many applications from year 2021.
Also, the gap between new applications and processed ones is quite big, unfortunately.

Total processed: ~167
Total processed above threshold: ~98
Processed above threshold to total processed ratio: ~0.59
Threshold processing median: ~12276/310/2023
2022 processing median: ~3866/310/2022
New applications created: ~242

Thanks, it was a spike during this week with applications becase people got their YKI results within last 10 days, this probably, will go down soon.

I had a theory based on my observations that migri does some queue processing rotation, if they started to process more 2021 applications, I expect this will last for several months at least, let's see.

Thank you for your summary as usual. Easter comes next week so we may not expect lots of processed applications.

@just_passing_by for 2024 applications, so far how many have been approved/processed out of how many applications? I mean XXXX/310/2024 applications.

Migri is not even close to starting processing 2024.
Those which processed are exceptions.

According to my data 11 applications are processed out of total ~1800

I would say that if it is not moving to the second stage during the next week then it is likely that you will have to wait for much longer (~23 months according to the current estimations)

Hi,

I applied just last week. My question is if you think it’s fine that I make 2 trips abroad, 1 for a week and 1 for less than a month during the summer?

Migri’s website mentions that it is permissible to travel abroad while waiting for a decision, and they just need to be informed, and a decision cannot be given while the applicant is abroad.

I am wondering if this won’t create potential issues, as I am assuming that I most likely won’t get a decision that soon - before September. So it’s maybe safe to travel abroad during the summer?

What do you think?

Thanks.
