Processing time for permanent resident permit

Happy New Year! Have you been applying for PR lately? If so, how long did it take you to receive the decision?

Some people get their decision within an hour or two after visiting the immigration office. Some have to wait for months.

Hi, thanks for sharing. How early did you apply before your visa A expires? I plan to apply 3 months before my visa A expires and it is my first 4-year visa.

I applied immediately after I fulfilled the 4-year stay requirement for permanent residency, even though my extended A permit was yet to expire in 4 months.
