I work at an Amsterdam-based company, and we have had a Finnish colleague join us remotely on the 1st of March of this year. Me and my colleague have been reading up the Finnish Leave law and have asked our partners for advice but we are getting conflicting responses. So I thought I would try to get some clarity here .
As I understand it, he will:
> Accrue 2 days of leave in the period of 1 March up to 1 April. When will he need to use these days?
> Also accrue 2 days per calendar month in the period of 1 April 2024 up to 31 March 2025, a total of 24 more days. When will he need to use these days?
> Will be accruing 2,5 days per month starting 1 April 2025.
Could someone with a better understanding of the law tell me if the above assumptions are correct, and let me know when he is supposed to use his built-up vacation days? It would be greatly, greatly appreciated . Thanks!
