International student inquiry about Vocational Education in Finland

Post by Mac29 » Tue Jul 23, 2024 9:03 am

Moi,

I'm from India and interested to study the vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering and Production Technology, specifically to be a Mechanical Fitter. 'Koneasentaja' Could anyone share insights on job availability and overall career prospects of this profession in Finland?

Also, if anybody knows when can I expect the next application dates for this course in English it would be hugely helpful for me

Thanks!

Hey! I’ve looked into this a bit since I know a few people in Finland working in mechanical trades. The demand for mechanical fitters is pretty solid, especially in sectors like manufacturing, energy, and even some parts of construction. The job market is generally stable, and there’s room for growth if you’re willing to keep learning or specialize in certain areas. As for the application dates, they usually open in early spring (around January to March), but it’s a good idea to keep an eye on specific schools or university websites for the latest info.
