Cohabitation time period

Hello, Me and my lady have been living together under same roof since last five years. Recently I was going through migri to check what residence permit I should apply if we decide to get married. Based on family ties there are two option - marriage and cohabition. Since we already have a rent contract and an extract from property manager can be obtained, two years of cohabiting time period very easy to prove. I am curious to know is it like I have to live four years with A permit continuously to get P permit or just two years in any time period when I am/was residing in finland legally? Already sent an email to migri but didn’t get any response.
