ICEC daycare company sold to Pilke in 2019

The International Child Education Centre Play 'n' Learn company was sold to Pilke at the end of 2019.

Pilke have been expanding in recent years having acquired a number of English speaking daycare centres. Pilke have themselves recently been bought by a Norwegian company.

This may not be news to many but I only found out. I sometimes pass a few of the old ICEC places and assumed they just rebranded to Pilke. I'm not sure what happened to all the staff but know that at least some found positions under the new management.

The transition to Pilke also resulted in adopting the Finnish curriculum and I'm assuming staff are probably no longer able to gain the British NVQ qualifications which were available under ICEC.

Anyway, just a little update for those interested.
