Urgent Case Marked by Migri - Work Permit Process Under Old Rules or New Ones

Post by NgAgency » Tue Apr 22, 2025 1:41 pm

Question: "Hi Everyone, I applied for an extended work permit, and my case was marked as 'urgent' by Migri. I received a positive partial decision from the TE Office 2024 (before the new work permit rules came into effect in January 2025).

Additionally, my salary complies with the applicable TES (Collective Agreement) for my occupation.

My question is: Will Migri process my application according to the old rules, since the partial decision was made before the changes were implemented? Or do I need to prepare for the new rules to be applied, even though my case was handled under the old framework?

New rules.

"If you have submitted an application for an extended permit for an employed person before 1 April 2025 but your application is still pending after 1 April 2025 and you do not meet the new minimum income limit, your employer may supplement the terms of employment in the application and increase your salary to at least EUR 1,600 per month."
