What's the best Finnish candy?
What is your favourite sweet and what's you're favourite chocolate? You can pick international brands, but I'm also interested if foreigners have found something in Finland, that they could not provide their sweet tooth with in their homecountry. Something they would surely miss, if they go back?
Salmiakki, anyone?

Favourite sweet - Cadbury's Crunchy or Fry's Turkish Delight. I've only found Fry's Turkish Delight in Finland in one shop, Crunchies are nowhere to be seen, except for those we smuggle inyamoussoukro wrote:What is your favourite sweet and what's you're favourite chocolate? Chocolate - Fazer blue is pretty good, not as good as Freia Melkesjokolade or Cadbury's Dairy Milk, but definitely better then Lindt, Marabou or Milka.
I don't think there's any sweets here that you can't find an equivalent of back home, except for salmiakki (but who needs that, it's foul)... but the big bags of Jenkki chewing gum are really good here, I send supplies back to my folks in England.

I have a thing for Brunberg "lakritsa" when its real fresh. Chocklate... I like dark stuff more than your regular milk chocklate.. Fazermints though...
But in Estonia do check the "Kalev" brand, chocklates and sweets. Theres a special "crispy white chocklate with blueberry" that is my favorite.

Theres so much to choose from 1 for me of course is licorice, Panda is good and its sold all over the world so I like the local stuff, brunberg, Halva and Fazer in that order. I also enjoy Geisha, and Fazer Blue because its hard to get anywhere but here. Other unique candy is Pigall by Marabou, and Pätkis, as well as Fazer wiener nougat. I like salmiakki and Halva salmiakki licorice for those that can't handle the Hard core salmiac flavor. AAkoset by leaf is great as well.
As for stuff from other countries Leonidas when you in Belgium or Amsterdam airport, Theres a couple of Chocolate shops I like, I don't remember their name but I know how to get there when in Bern.
Mozart Kugel by Mirabell not Reber.
When In mexico their Mexican Hot chocolate with pastries is to die for as well as Senorial sangria. Brazil has Guarana
Each country has their Unusual candies or sodas and I enjoy them all.
I could go on but I dont want to bore you.

It's not that chocolates are a substitute for love. Love is a substitute for chocolate. Chocolate is, let's face it, far more reliable than people.

But what shall it profit a people if they satisfy all material desires, but leave for their children nothing, only a wasteland.
