I'm from Finland and if you want to ask something, I'll answer if I can.

That sounds rather harsh. Can you define "us", please?

I believe that Kätkyt is just trying to be nice and helpful. ( I might be wrong,of course ). He/She does not say :"I can answer any question you care to ask". He/She says: " I´ll answer IF I CAN".

He/She is a new member on this forum and it is possible that he/she has not noticed that there are quite a few Finns here.

Isn't this a section about the Finnish language? That narrows it down quite a lot to me (and makes me wonder how these five example questions are applicable).

Sorry Tadpole's mommy what can we do to brighten your dull and dreary emotional status. I hope things get better before you go away, its better to start off a vacation in a good mood.

I know with all the authority that I hold, I forgive you for being in a bad mood ;)

Did that help.

How bout a mirth of a story, from your favorite book Readers digest ;)
Ok here

A woman was waiting at the door, ready to go shopping, with her arms full of coats. Her four little children stood at her side. Her husband, coming down stairs, aske why she was standing there.
"This time you put on the children's coats," she said, handing them to him,
"and I'll go outside and honk the car horn."

I know cheesy, right.
Id offer you a Homemade Hot fudge sundae if I could send it via the electrons.

Miltä suola maistuu? = How does salt taste like ?

Kuinka ruoka maistuu? = How do you like the food?

I apologize, I didnt say anything about food I said salt whats another way to describe the taste of salt? besides salty. (kuinka suola maista?)

Its one of those things there is no answer, such as what does water taste like besides, salty, sweet, wet, bitter.

sorry it was a bad joke that went haywire, and fizzled out in the salty wet snow.
