Hi all,
I've started crafting my own Finnish-English translator program after failing to find any free ones out there that works. It's still a work-in-progress as we speak, but I think it *may* be usable enough for some. I'll keep it online for free for those who might need some sort of rudimentary translation.
Here is a short list of what the tool can and can't do:
1. There are currently only 3000 words in the set.
2. Not all verb tenses are handled. The supported ones are :
a) active/passive present, imperfect, perfect, plusperfect
b) conditional present & perfect
c) imperative
3. For nouns, local cases, partitive and genitive forms are implemented but they aren't being translated into their English equivalence yet.
4. Zero work has been done on sentence structure analysis. Right now, words are being translated and spilled out independently.
If you don't mind these limitations, then feel free to give it a try at www.solvingmaze.com
Cheers,
