Where can I learn Finnish in London?

Post by adamisawol » Mon Jan 23, 2006 1:43 pm

I've been to Finland a few times on holiday (winter and summer) and have fallen in love with the place. Where can study Finnish in London so that I can get more out of future visits?

My preference would be to attend an evening class. However, if there isn't one in London, then I would consider an on-line course or CDROM. Any help would be appreciated.

On line you have:
http://www.finnishschool.com/

Where language course are being run in London...??

But the Finns in UK seem to have regular get togethers at this place.
http://www.merimieskirkko.fi/
It is not just a church it also has a shop where they go to buy their Finnish produce...

The address is:
33 Albion Street, GB-London SE16 7HZ
puh: +44-20-7237 4668, fax: +44-20-7237 1245
email: lontoo@merimieskirkko.f

If you check the English pages..you will find a list of people you can contact.
Perhaps they will know where courses are held..the teachers are probably Finns who use this "home from home"
