Transferring Dole Money from UK to Finland
Transferring Dole Money from UK to Finland
Im currently in a job in UK, which ive been in for 6 months. However, im expecting to be given my notice within the next couple of weeks.
Is it possible for me to sign on for dole in UK, and claim it while living in Finland? Or do I need to be claiming it for a certain amount of time in the UK, before i can transfer it to Finland?
Any help, much appreciated!

Transferring JobSeeker’s Allowance (JSA)
If you are entitled to the contributory part of JSA and have normally been claiming this for at least four weeks in the UK, you may continue to receive it for up to three months in Finland, while you actively seek work there. You must first tell your Jobcentre Plus office or Jobcentre in the UK (where you are registered) of your intention to look for work in Finland well in advance of your departure date. Your Jobcentre Plus office or Jobcentre will advise the DWP Pensions and Overseas Benefits Directorate who will determine whether conditions are satisfied and send you form E303 before you leave. This form, which secures the payment of your unemployment benefit in Finland, should be taken to the Finnish employment service as soon as possible after your arrival in Finland. General information on the transfer of JSA abroad is available from your local Jobcentre or Jobcentre Plus office in the form of a brochure (JSAL 22).

That, + all the other possible forms.
Like if one quits themselves in Finland the local job centre will tell you to p-off and quarantine you for 3 months with no benefits whatsoever. And then you might get on some immigrant/integration thing on certain grounds... Anyhow, just remember first thing after you get a job here you join an unemployment fund (read http://www.ysl.fi explains the Finnish system). You need to be 10 months employed before a chance of dole here, the government dole here wouldn't even pay the rent...
Now if you don't find work in the 3 months then it gets a bit hairy... Finns won't have you and the UK dole might give you a few queer looks...
