TRANSLATION HELP

Post by sleepyrascal » Tue Mar 21, 2006 1:26 am

Hello there.

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me but i'll try anyway.

My friend has a new Finnish flatmate (we live in Scotland). My friend and her have become quite close and made it out on a date a few nights ago.

He really wants to thank her in Finnish and be able to say a few basic things which he can send in a text message to her so he asked for my help and I went looking for a Finnish translator online. However, I couldn't find one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or can you translate the following for me??

1. "thank you for the other night. I had a lot of fun and I hope you did too! I hope we can do it again some time really soon"

2. "Hello Laura. I just wanted to text and let you know that I'll be available tonight if your not busy"

Much appreciated.

I could try, but the thick accent gives me trouble:

1. Kiitoksija viimosesta, miul olj haeskoo ja toevottavasti siullae olj haeskoo ja. Toevottavasti tappoomma uuvemman kerran kohtapuoleen.

Enk - did I get it right

Assuming "Laura" comes from Hakeniemi..she will have a good laugh and wonder where "sleepyrascal" got his Finnish lessons from.

My suggestion is that a mix of not perfect Finnish and English is more likely to achieve the objective.. of another date.."Umm he tried..!"

"kiitoksia paljon Laura...oli hauska..toivotavasti samoin sinulle myös...Text me when you are free please...Haluaisin nähdään pian."

Or this...

http://www.verjnuarmu.net/
