In another thread on helsinki's equivalent of the 9/11 events

, Polamook used the word
copacetic. I didn't know the meaning of it, so I googled it and found this link:
http://www.worldwidewords.org/weirdwords/ww-cop1.htm
It made me wonder about words in finnish that have a very weird etymology or that come from languages you wuldn't have expected them to come from.
For example miukumauku means 'the miaow sign' and is used to describe '@'.

I'm not sure if this really counts... but anyway...
When Finns emigrated in largish numbers to America on steamboats at the beginning of the 20th century... there, the word
sanomapitsi was created.
It was a swearword originating from the English "son of a b*tch"
