Old toys

Post by zax » Tue Sep 05, 2006 1:16 pm

Just had the pleasure of moving house, and thanks to a complete lack of any packing or clearing out of old stuff I had to drag about ten tons of old kids toys with me.

Assuming I can persuade little madam to stop listening to her mp3 player long enough to identify those she doesn't want, is there anywhere (children's groups etc.) that can use these things? They don't even fit in the bedroom.

Plan B (which in my current mood isn't far away) is that I dump everything in the nearest lake :)

Stay tuned for more housemoving offers! Furniture, rugs, lamps, and the amazing, extremely large professional drafting table! It's yours for free providing you can move it (weighs about 80 kilos, mostly solid steel)...

Try any of the women's shelters, foster homes, etc. One way would
be to ask at your nearest neuvola, they should be able to tell you.

Our local playgroup's park nanny is always looking for toys for the kids. I'd be happy to come pick them up and donate the rest (I'm in Espoo as well). I'm assuming they will fit in a normal sized car? :)

That rather depends on how many I manage to get rid of :) Once we've done the sorting out I'll get back to you...
