Finnish News Podcasts with Texts?

Post by teddibiase » Thu Nov 02, 2006 9:28 am

Basically, I'm looking for a way to hear the Finnish, but see a text that goes along with it.

Anyone got any ideas?

Maybe I could buy some movies and put subtitles on?

Try this - Finnish news in simple (-ish) form : the news of the day is in both audio and written format, past days in audio only.

..can I ask a stupid question..

..do I really have to have iTunes to upload podcastes? I have a PDA and would like to be able upload the things above when I connect..

..even better, I'ld like to upload the stuff above without even sync'ing..ie just use the wireless connection on my PDA and Internet Explorer on the Windows Mobile operating system...

..the second thing probably isn't possible but it would nice to be able to get podcastes straight to the PDA rather than via a desktop...

No, the XML is the key.

ITunes will just parse the XML.

You mean "download" right? Here's some windows mobile podcast stuff... http://pocketpccentral.net/software/podcast.htm

And it's not a stupid question! Podcasting and the new interwebs thingies are actually pretty subtle.

But... behind the revolution is XML!

..I think that's Bingo...I want something where I can turn on my PDA in the morning..upload the 'Finnish for Thicko's' news podcaste or whatever and then play during the day...since we aren't allowed to stream at work...and the desktop at home uses the same whisper technology as a Russian Tupalev with a hole in the muffler..

...I'll give it a whirl...
