Shopping for toys online

Post by Ema » Fri Nov 17, 2006 11:00 pm

Hi, does anyone know some stores for online toy shopping.

I am not located in Helsinki area. Making a trip to there won't cover one or two stores. I am looking those kind of activity toys or infant developing toys. Of course there are some in the supermarkets, but for walker or such big toys are quite limited. We have one lastentarvike in here, bit more choices, But the price is very high, and almost never have any sale. Would like to keep an eye on the internet for some ALE and more choices. Or has anyone bought some stuff from abroad? like UK, America. Did you have to pay a lot of tax for it?

Amazon.co.uk will ship most stuff to Finland. When you place your order you see what you pay, there is no additional tax on goods coming to Finland from inside the EU. Even with shipping costs included, their prices are reasonably competitive with similar branded goods in Finland. The Early Learning Centre in the Uk also ships toya abroad. I haven't used them in ages since my boys have grown out of their age range.

hi,
I've been in the same situation looking for good toys and the really few ones I've found here were much more expensive than in France. I've finally decided to order from http://www.koclicko.com , if you order for less than 100euros, you'll just have to pay 15euros for the transport cost, if you order for more, the transport cost is free. The choice is quite wide and the service is good & quick.

I tried one

Hi, thea, thanks, it does have many more options.

By the way, I have tried amazon.co.uk. Price is good, much cheaper than other webs that I searched. I made the order on Friday and the toy came on Monday already. Good quality, very realiable.

I don't get what is the problem with Finland. Same product, price is 10$ in America, but 28.8 euro in here and they are all made in China!

The difference is what's paying for your medical care and other social services.

I understand all that, though there are few things not that reasonable. However there got to be some boundaries. I don't mind to pay tax to those moms or students or any other kind for good purpose, but to support those drunk who start a bottle 8 in the morning. I need to have much bigger heart and bigger money come in after taxes.

Anyhow, 3 times price different for same product, that is just too much.
