The bits I like is that they increased number of staff
PERSONNEL
The average number of employees from January to December 2006 was 65 324. At December 31, 2006, Nokia employed a total of 68 483 people (58 874 people at December 31, 2005).
Also Networks seem to be on the road to recovery with or without Siemens.

People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.
I think that despite not having 'cool' iconic phones at the moment, there is a larger demand for what they do produce.
LG Chocolate could not hold up LGE, Samsung are struggling.
Clearly the message is that cool sells short term, but a good user experience and reliability keeps sales high in the long term.

Ear ye Ear Ye!!
More interesting things to note is that they managed to make a pretty good profit even with declining margins, WHILE gaining market share..
As for How many people they have increased, Probably because of hiring in Low-cost countries ( Latin America, India, China etc) than in Finland.

"Emerging markets were again the driver of growth, with markets like China, southeast Asia-Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa each seeing year-on-year growth of over 35% in the fourth quarter," Chief Executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said in a conference call with analysts on Thursday, after Nokia released its results. "We expect this kind of trend will continue in '07."
Their biggest growth market was Latin-America.
OTOH, Their networks didnt do that big of anything, ( Credit goes to Sari Baldauf than anyone) gaining a mere 220 Million in sales. Their operating margins are still low at 13%..
Aint going to help the merger cause..But thats the reality...But then it Puts N at a very strong position with regards to the direction of N-S networks.
Not that it will impact Multimedia or mobile phones ( As those 2 divisions(MM more than MP) are actually moving more towards NEW business than operator focussed business)
The biggest loser of course was the Enterprise, so mebbe a wake up call for Mary to do something..
The biggest gainers in low end phones was Nokia and Sony-Ericsson in High-end phones.

I left it for them to read it again..I cannot be bothered about changing people's minds after they have already made it either by mis-interpreting things or plain bad reading!
