Good pics.

Did you know that you can compare your new camera against other cameras here: http://www.imaging-resource.com/IMCOMP/COMPS01.HTM

I would love some arty shots of my three boys - haven't dared take them to a photographer for years - and I really hate the static poses and dreary backgrounds that most pro-photographers offer. (Aaargghh all those graduation pics that you see in the shop-windows of the photographers in the malls).

But do you really want greasy spotty teenagers (boys) to practise on? :?

PS the colours in that first pic of the pier are amazing!

oh my gosh, yes! I'd *love* to do some shots of the boys! Both individually or as a group. I'll send you a PM when the weather gets back to normal (no use photographing red noses!). We can meet up at an interesting local and get some urban/edgy/modern shots!

I'm really open to anything they'd like - so if they have a sports/hobby/interest they want to explore or just normal street clothes, I'm quite happy! I'll give you guys the original proofs and they are yours to do with as you please - I just ask that I can use them in my portfolio!

If you'd like, I could also do an entire family set of pictures as well.

Yay!

Hmmm.... I will have to think VERY carefully and cleverly about how to get this to work. My guess is that "hey guys! Today you're all going to have your photo taken" will get the same response as "hey guys! I've booked you all in for a haircut" or "hey guys! Let's all go out for a walk"

We are going away for ski week (week 8 ), but it would be nice to do some pics when we get back, if that isn't too far away.... and in the meantime I'll work on the spin

cheers!

They're beautiful, Andrea! And welcome home! I've missed you.

Is Maia wearing glasses in a couple of the pics? I think kids with glasses are so cute!

Penelope: Tell them we'll take ultra cool shots of them at an abandoned factory. Maybe that'll make them perk up :)

Raamv: I'd love to do a salwar or choli set of your little U :)

Juha: Thanks - I have seen that site and it's really interesting!

Karen: She got glasses right before we left. Maybe someone will confuse her for being smart now *grin*

I'm also really hoping I can do another session with the kind moms who have let me shoot their kids in the past two months. I've learned so much from them!

Are you looking strictly for "locals"?

Just thinking out loud. My 13 yr old daughter & I will be in Finland at the end of July. Too far off in time? More trouble than it is worth? Can't convince her to do it?

Its just a shame that your $1000 digital camera still doesn't have the resolution to equal 35mm camera made in the 80's ($100) when quality running slide film., but i don't guess the sales guys told you that.
