In lesson 8, the guy in the coffee shop says something I can't understand.
It sounds like...
"Viidi sokeri palaa mutta miksi et sekoida."
then the guy replies
"No, kun en joo koskaan makea."
Both of these statements are pretty must lost on me.
Why is ei koskaan => en koskaan? I dont think the dude is talking about himself.
If viidi is really viisi, then why isnt sokeri sokeria?
What the heck is et sekoida?
Anyone here use Assimil Finnish? I need some help.

sokeripala = cube of sugar so five sugar(cube)s (and it is countable instead of loose sugar) , he says "five sugars" sekoittaa is to mix/stir/confuse...
In English would be:
Oi, thass foive cubes in yer tea, so why don't you stirret?
Awright, cause I never drink me tea sweet.
Remember, Finns have no sense of humor

While you're here... any idea how to change the language settings on XP Pro?
I'm trying to make the entire system display in finnish.
That is.. all the menus, dialogues, etc.
Ho, ho ho... those wags who write these things do have a sense of humour, yas o yas...
One guy puts five LUMPS of sugar into his coffee, but doesn't stir it. The other queries this odd behaviour and the rip-snorting, keyboard-splashing reply is that:
"I don't like my coffee sweet"
Case ending refers to the lump... and the use of en is because he says I never drink sweet [things].
