Re: RUGBY WORLD CUP!
Much as I'd like England to win. I think home advantage will be too much of an advantage.
To quote from the moto of the Cornish Rugby Club..I am sure maxwell will not mind.
FETHY PO FYLIEL AN GWARRY HA TRA NAHEN
Win or Lose, The Game and Nothing Else.
This is exactly the final I wanted to see.
NZ v Australia.
..they play every other week against each other.
England have been building up for this game for years ...
I can remember the days when Pontipool girls choir could beat the best England could offer.. OK Gavin..now wipe the coffee off your monitor!
Because now England are at least number 2 in the world and Wales

I hope that if...no when England win on Saturday that Aussies have the good grace to congratulate the better team rather than resort to cheap jibes about the Poms' supposedly poor 'entertainment factor'. If they do I'll put it down to an obvious case of inferiority complex. We'll see!
May the best team win!
COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

I reckon that Wales came a long way in this tournament, and gave the best of teams a good run for their money...
Perhaps we should start growing sidburns like JPR's again.
My heart and soul preys for Australia. Anything to see the English lose.
Australians everywhere - unite in our love of sheep and despise of the English!

Indeed!
The odds are very very close, and here's an excerpt from some ponderings.
"What a final it will be, Australia having lost twice to England in the last 12 months, including one at home, will be buoyed by last week’s reversal in form and will be out to create history by becoming the only team so far to win the World Cup twice in a row. England is yet to win a World Cup and the last time they were in a final was in 1991 when they lost to Australia at home. During a two year span they have been the most dominating team in Rugby Union, but a loss to Australia will mean the last two years performances have meant nothing.
An interesting fact is that the World Cup has been played four times previously and each time has been won by a team from the Southern Hemisphere. Both times that the tournament has been played in the Northern Hemisphere, Australia have contested the final and won both times."

The reason why the Aussie males are more "discreet" is that the "Shelahs" get a bit active with the sheep shearing clippers if they spot "Blue boy" pointing his didgeridoo at a sheep in preference to her..while "Blodwyn" is just happy for a rest from the demands of "Dai Bach"!JasonS wrote:Australians everywhere - unite in our love of sheep...you might just find that Aussie blokes are just a little bit more discreet about it than the Taffy boyos(who consider it perfectly normal)....Freckles (oh, and BTW, it's the NewZealanders that love sheep...)
