Welcome to Mozambique Seminar!

Dear Students, Teachers and All Interested People!

The Mozambique seminar of this autumn is arranged on Wednesday Oct 3, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The place is University of Tampere, Linna-building (Kalevantie 5), sixth floor, room number 6034 of the Department of Social Policy and Social Work.

The programme includes the following presentations with discussion.

* Welcome, Academic coordinator of North-South-South-programme Anna Metteri
* Finland-Mozambique- relations today and tomorrow", reflections from Mozambique 2003-2007 by ambassador Markku Kauppinen (Ministry for Foreign Affairs)
* Introduction to Mozambican Society, Breznévia Gêmo and Virgilio Manhique, students
* Analysis of Education, Virgilio Manhique, student (MMAS/Piramk)
* Social Approach to Begging, Celso Paulino (MMAS/Piramk)
* HIV-Aids situation in Mozambique, Breznévia Gêmo, student (University of Eduardo Mondlane/UTa)



* Mozambican delicacies, tea and coffee will be served during the break.



The seminar is organised by the Global Social Work Finland in the leadership of the North-South exchange students and in collaboration with the Department of Social Policy and Social Work, University of Tampere.
