Apropos of these things, when does the Anglican Congregation in Helsinki have THEIR annual Xmas market thingie? I wouldn't ask, but thought it might be one of those places where people in need could stock up on half a ton of mincemeat and a keg of Marmite. It used to be about a fortnight before the big day.

You have to try the polenta doggit! :) I would have snarfed down a third one had they not closed up for the evening by the time I wound my way back. I tried nearly all the foods *burp* but those polenta dogs are fantastic, especially if you like corn dogs. No stick, but greasy corn and meat goodness fresh out of the fryolator can't be bad. The guys running the stand are hilarious too. :)

On the south side of the esplanade towards kappeli.
