Hello all,
I'm going to start giving private langauge lessons to a single person. For a couple of hours; 3 times a week. Could someone please give me a hint on naming a price? What's the usual price per hour? I'm not a professional language teacher but readily capable of giving lessons at beginners' and medium level.
Thanks.

Are you a native speaker? Of so, you can charge more. I would say that the average price for native speakers is about 20-25 euros an hour for private individuals.
If you are invoicing a company, however, the price would be much higher!

Thanks much for the info. I'm a native speaker but have no teaching experience whatsoever. I'm not invoicing a company. As a matter of fact I will be teaching a friend of a friend; so I'd probably go for 20€. Which sounds fair, I suppose.
