Nothing much to do.

Post by rapses » Wed Oct 31, 2007 1:46 pm

I came to Finland from India to undertake my MBA studies. I am science graduate with a post graduate diploma in corporate laws and mangement. I have work experience totalling nine years in instructional designing, web content development and technical writing. The MBA curriculum in my school is not intensive and there are only 4 classes in a month. After taking some other relevant couses, I am left with ample free time. I tried to find some job but could not find any because I do not speak Finnísh. Money is not a problem but I cannot spend lavishly either. What should I do to use my free time creatively and improve my skills as well.

Nothing much to do.

If you plan to stay here long-term, your first priority is to immerse all the extra time you have in learning Finnish!!
Then start networking!!
Attend free networking events like mobile monday and ...tuesday etc
Attend some free lectures given in TKK by many executives of many local companies..

You can also think of voluntary work for Immigrant societies.
Search the forum, it has been discussed before.
