Any places open on All Saints' Day?
I am out of food and forgot that today was a national holiday. Are there any places that might be open in Tampere? Or even a Hesburger or something? Thanks..

I don't think it's just Finnish genes Tex, some of the worst moaners I encountered were in the UK. There again, there's more to moan about there!mCowboy wrote:because it's embedded in the Finnish psyche (and I think genes too)Juha H. wrote:
Why do people always complain?

Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I think its odd though that every single time theres a "double holiday" and stores are closed theres people wandering aimlessly in throes of unsatisfied consumerism. For one darned day! And the queues in stores - as if the stores would close for a week. And ALKO going on strike, I bet you people will be buying booze like there would come prohibition!
Cheers, Hank W.

I don't normally mind it but this just happened to coincide with the absolute end of my food supply, which was rather inconvenient. I had forgotten about the holiday so I hadn't thought to buy anything ahead of time.Hank W. wrote:I think its odd though that every single time theres a "double holiday" and stores are closed theres people wandering aimlessly in throes of unsatisfied consumerism. Thanks for your responses!

Or a Neste petrol station with K Market? Or any R Kiosk, 10 Kioski or petrol station. Most of them have a limited selection of basic foodstuffs.
Or have a diet until tomorrow, as tomorrow everything is open again - and will be open on Sundays until the end of the year (except next Sunday thanks to the Father's Day).
