Full PISA results will be published on Tuesday 4 December 2007; advance details are being made available following the publication by a Spanish magazine of partial leaked figures.

And are the Swedes pissed off...?? Just a bit..

Sweden tumbling from 18th to 22nd place since the last PISA study in 2003.

Nah not really. As always, it's best to take this kind of surveys with a pinch of salt - they can not, and do not indicate absolutely everything about the education system, let alone the countries themselves as such.
...and yet... not that bad for a "bog standard Nordic country" eh...?

Yes, France hasn't done too well either (and now the teachers are going on strike AGAIN because Sarko has dared to pronounce the word "reform"...) and they didn't do any better on this one (Pirls) either:
