Hi all,
I have just been offered the SAP MM Team Leader position in Helsinki. Please kindly let me know the followings -
1) Will the salary package of 5,600 EUR/month be sufficient for two persons to stay in Helsinki?
2) What is the average monthly apartment rental for two-bed-room furnished apartment in Helsinki?.
3) What is the transportation cost/person/month?
4) Do we have to legally pay the medical insurance in Helsinki?. If yes, how much would it be per month for each person?.
Thanks and regards,
HT

2) 2-bedroom furnished apartment will cost close to a 1000 Euros per month ( less than 100 sqm) close to/in the center of Helsinki.
3) If public transportation, I think the unlimited use is now around 80Euros per month per person ( check http://www.hkl.fi)
4) Depends on your work status, if you are permanent ( and full-time) or temporary. Medical/Health coverage generally provided by employer if you are working on a FT basis...and sometimes on a PT basis.. but may not be provided if you are PT or on a Fixed-time contract(Full-time fixed contract might not provide this). Your employment only provides coverage for you. Ask your employer on this coverage. On top of this, if you want to avoid long lines in the public-health system(Health care is provided. Provided if you are residing here in Finland, meaning if you get a resident permit needed for your work).
Remember you will be taxed around 30-40 percent (depending on the municipality and this also includes the pension %).
Check http://www.vero.fi ( click on language english at top right hand)
Check your tax percent for e.g. Domicile is Helsinki from

Also check out various sections at:

More importantly, you are the 100000 person asking this..
so read the stickies in all of the sections and do a search in this forum too..before you ask these again..
