Why yes, at the Anglican Church Bazaar... you know the procurement of exotic luxus import products is a long and arduous task
I'd put my money on Behnfords- people who have a spotted dick in a can are bound to have mince...
(oh, and that dick then explodes well if you goof up heating it). Stockmann of course as the other option.
As for the recipes... Do remember that if you make totally homemade mincemeat you must leave it for at least a week or two to macerate and mature.
As for whipping up something vaguely resembling that with stuff in the store, I'd go for the "traditional" Finnish christmas pastry/pie butter dough, use a muffin tin, and do a blenderful of apples with that mixed fruit stuff they make that awful soup you plonk on your rice porridge. I think the "trick" is to have all the stuff coagulate in lard? Now finding unsalted pork fat is possible, but unless you know what you're getting it might be slightly challenging.
So for recipes: Heres the mince
And heres the pie
I guess theres a few ladies here who have them done you just need to sign over for playing Santa
And then you just have to explain one thing to the gf before she pours mustard on them - it has got nothing to do with meat and is not salty but sweet. See now Finnish mincemeat pies - with the rice and meat filling are a "food" dish and using peculiar foreign terminology as calling fruits a "meat" causes inherent confusion
