You get the ID card from the police. You need two photos (maybe one) and y
ou need to pay a fee (I am not sure how much).

u need 1 photo, 40 euro cash!! and ur passport u will wait between 2 and 5 weeks it depends, u go to the police!

so As foreigner did any one try to travel with this id card before ?
is that ok to use this card to travel in Europ ?

ok, when u get ur od card u will see that its not allowed to use it as travel document !!! so u se ur passport in travalling even inside EU, but u can show ur id card for instance to proove ur age, some discount !! but not as travel document !!of course if u travel to some country u can leave ur passport in hotel and use ur id card u dont need to carry ur passport !!!
but when u get the finnish nationality u can travel to some countries with id card!! because ur id card now for foreigner it different than the id card for finnish people for exemple u will see : nationality: xx but for finnish is FIN its different ! but still its better than nothing :) good luck
