I'm trying to get my PayPal account to work in Finland to receive incoming payments but am not too sure how to do it, and PayPal email support is a waste of time.
I need to enter my Finnish bank account number to receive payments, and as we all know they're expressed in this format: XXXXXX-XXXXXX
PayPal however doesn't accept the "-" symbol. Do I just remove it, or do I need to insert zeros in it's place? I know in my IBAN number they swap the "-" with several zeros.
The only reason I'm slightly nervous is that if it is not correct, I get charged.
I have had an email technical support case open for about 2 weeks, and all they do is repeat what the error message back to me:
"Please do not add any additional symbols when entering your bank account number - Mr. Woods, it has been my absolute pleasure to assist you today, and my life is now complete." No matter how many times I rephrase the question, I just get a similar useless scripted reply.
I know in the UK the Sort Code (first 6 digits) is separate from the actual account number, and you wouldn't express those in one block, and PayPal accommodates this Sort Code separately when entering UK bank account details.
Any got any ideas or are successfully using PayPal to receive payments?
Any PayPal users here?

The dash is there just for cosmetics value. Should work as 'savings account' and in one block just removing the dash. Or atleast thats what the boys say on the intarweb.
