Never a tripod for people, no. Tripods are good if you use really slow shutter speeds - and you can't do that with people unless you want blurry pics :)

They are fantastic Xochiquetzal! I've had a really good traditional day here, with the easter witches and capped off by your pictures. They would make terrific postcards.

Thanks. Amidst all the growsing about the differences between Finland and our homelands, it's really nice to remember the sheer beauty found here. Between the architecture and the nature, there's some wonderful vistas and history to explore.

Another set of fine pics... makes me feel a mere dabbler myself  The Norwegian dress, IMO, does not seem wildly out of place in the pictures. It's probably only if you're more familiar with differences in folk dresses... then it might disturb more

Have you taken any other sort of pics than portraits?

Thanks guys. I really love photographing IN Finland. And people are the anchor in the photos for me - just can't think of taking a picture without one :)

Sammy, I'll be happy to shoot you if you'll show me all those cool places you keep photographing!

Cripes! Was that a promise... or a threat?

Ah well. Cool places...? Mostly Helsinki, on my walking trips - nowhere really special, I try to find the extraordinary in the ordinary :) Took this set of B/W today in Malminkartano/Vantaa. The snapshots, in a curiously inverted manner, kind of became a "visual soundtrack" to the Raison d'Etre album I was listening to... weird stuff.

Btw - you're almost exactly the opposite of me; I tend to avoid including people in my pictures as much as possible
