I bought m'Bird an E51 Nokia, which is ugly like the back of a bus but has some redeeming features.
I've cracked the Hotmail thing with Microsoft Live but does anyone have any experience loading a Symbian compatible Skype application on the phone to run through our WLAN at home?
taa in advance

Skype and Symbian

My boyfriend runs "Fring" on his N80, it is compatible with the skype network.
It works quite well apparently.

I put Fring on my N91, tested it to make a Skype call through my home WLan (which is connected to my provider DNA by a 100Mbps in / 10Mbps out valokaista).
The quality of the call was pretty sketchy. I might use it as a last resort, for example if placing a Skype call somewhere where I had WiFi and my phone, but it was really a lot worse than Skyping through a PC.

I found with Fring I always need to always have a charger close at hand. With both Fring and pushmail on, I was relatively lucky to get a day of use - and that was with a fairly new battery
