Hello!
I've been using an S-card for years (even before I moved to Finland).
Anyone know how I claim/spend the points? I thought they would post me vouchers or something, as I now live in Finland and have given them my new address, but not seen anything yet.
Hopefully I've got LOTS of points/money waiting for me as I've used it at Sokos hotels a hell of a lot... Unless they expire
The s-group websites are VERY uninternational and give me no clue as to how I use my points.
Thanks for your help!

You can use your S-card to pay with the money you collected on it. That's how we do it at least. Useful for shopping for example.

Well, you should read those notices they sent you. They had coupons. That expire... These days, if you ticked the right boxes you have an "account" in the S-pankki. So you need to go to your local prisma (which co-op you joined with) and get your account details... they nowadays have an S-card that works as a bank card paying in the s-chain places.

As Hank almost explained..
1: go to a large S Group place..e.g Prisma or Sokos store.
2: find the info piste.
3: Present your S card and ask for help.

Hmm, don't think I've received anything from them other than sales material and customer magazines... Don't know where I could have ticked boxes either.
Maybe I'll see if someone in Sokos or Smarket can help me set things up.

SMarket (they are just a franchise) nor Sokos Hotels will not be able to do anything...as I said..Go to Large Outlet..where they have an S Bank..
The bigger Prisma shops ..Sokos main shop in Tapiola or near the railway station in Helsinki.

The last week of every month is when you get the Magazine, it has a bit of paper inside what tells you how much bonus you have for that month, we changed it to the S bank where all the money goes every month and as the wife works for the company its 4% interest.

If you call that huge green envelope-like thingie in the plastic wrap as a "piece" of paper, a "proper advertisement" must then be a phone book

The cover of the customer magazine has a perforation on four sides which you should rip. And out comes the paper with the coupons and your point summary.

Co-incidentally, my monthly "pack" from S-card arrived today!
I see this "Bonusraha" coupon looking thing, that I guess is value I have earned this month - is there anything I can do with this? It looks like a cheque or something

Not really, it is just your monthly statement.
That money is paid into your account. Take your card & ID and go to the S-Bank / S-info piste. They will give you forms to fill and your account number. You might get the pin numbers there and then, so when you get to a PC you can check the balance etc. Until you do that you don't really have a way of checking your account balance.
When you know you have some money in the account, next time you go to a Sokos or S-Market, when they tell you the cost of your shopping, give them the S-Card and say "Tilille".
= to account.

Why yes, the "coupons" were as checques. The Plussa and Ykkösbonus do/did a similar deal, Ykkös sends the "checque" once a year, in Plussa you could "add them up" on an account but they discontinued and went back to sending coupons.
S-card used to send coupons with a pretty good (3-month half-life was it) but you could opt-in at some point in having an account? and after some time it wasn't optional... don't remember as the three get all merged. I do have Plussa and Ykkös cards as MC's, so I can "fiddle" the purchases pretty well.. S-has their own, but once they go MC I'll be fiddling even more.
Anywhichways, one of these "Finnish is an useless language" cases

Before the S-bank was launched you got a PIN number after you first went to see your bonus saldo with your card # + PIN... but IIRC they went all "assbanking"... I had a whopping 70 euros there

Plussa is the best one, if you give them the details, they will pay the bonuses direct into the bank account of your choice. We get a whopping €5 deposit into our savings account from them each month.
J. give more details of what the cheque says!

And you actually get good "deals" (on white bedsheets and tiki-torces in the KKK-market) - though if you buy "big stuff" then you can score stuff at Sokos or Prisma sometimes (used to be good)... but Plussa works in Anttila and also in K-rauta so 50/60... I got the Ykkös card only because I buy a lot of hardware stuff from kurjuus... Tarjoustalo and the Siwa is the only 24/7... well, 7/11 in the village.
