Does somebody know if one is entitled to apply for Oikeustieteen maisteri (OTM) programme in Finnland with an LLB from the UK? I am only interested in Master's in Finnish law, not the international LLM, because I would like to practice law in Finnland.
Thanks!

As long as you speak Finnish or Swedish that is not any problem. Law in Finland is practiced in the official languages of the country.

Thank you, Hank. My Finnish is not good enough yet for the entrance exam but I will be working on it in the next couple of years before I apply.
I was just wondering whether they accept candidates with LLB degrees from other countries (which have different legal systems) for the OTM programme.

What I would suggest is you contact the facultuy direct http://www.helsinki.fi/oik/tdk/opiskelu ... et.htm#ETA
One way to get into the studies is that you go read law at the "open university" - as basically you need to know your stuff already to get in... and take one of those prep courses. Getting in to study law was it now the hardest or 2nd hardest...
Oh, and you probably need to have a language certificate done as well.
