Why did he leave you?
If he left because he wanted out of the relationship, what is there to say to him? He made his choice when he left. He cant expect you to wait around for him. Sort out a divorce so you can be really free and enjoy life with someone who appreciates you.

anyway.. you have every right to make your own decision without being interfered by anyone that includes your far-away, not-in-contact husband too. when i don't call my girlfriends for 3 months... somehow they understand it's time for another man for them

There were however frequent phone calls, letters and at least every 3 months a short visit.
If your contact in 7 months is one lousy phone call, your relation is so over.
