Old tv commercials!

Anybody remember these? Most of these are from the 1970's, I think...








Väiskin lihatiski! I vaguely remember having seen this Väiski in our local K-Market, I guess he was touring small towns - must have been in the early 80's. (By the way, outside of the very same store, I once tried to lick an icy metal handrail... and you know what happens then... )





Here's a good one: "Yhdistettiin etelän lämmin temperamentti ja avaruustekniikan taitajien kylmä järki, tulos on laatuauto Lada."

1980's. Some of these I can actually remember. "Joo joo - Johnson!"

Yeah, Jukka, I know I was just pointing out that when that commercial came out, everybody on the school yard was wondering "is he really singing huoria...?!"

Anyway, I think the song became known through this commercial. Not sure though, can't remember. (I must have been about ten years old at the time )

I must admit that I still like that song. But the haircuts and the outfits...

It was composed by Juha Tapaninen, an ad director who has specialized on writing music for commercials. He’s also the man behind the songs Rekkamies (“Trucker Man” performed by Matti Esko and originally used in Vaasan Mylly’s[1] well-received Elovena oatmeal ad) and Jos et sä soita (“If you don’t call” performed by Anna Hanski and originally used in Telecom Finland’s[2] long-distance calls tv commercial). All three songs became runaway hits because of the ads.

Yup, I remember those!

Funny... I can remember most of the older ones, but from the late 80's onwards (when, in effect, I gave up watching tv) they seem rather unfamiliar. AND vaguely embarrassing, given the fashion back then!

Oh, the old Eesti Reklaam-TV ads. You could get the reception sometimes pretty good.

I still would go for the indyjones Tupla ads - I was shocked they allowed the double etendres back then.

Which year is that chicken ad from? The background "music" sounds trippy. And raw meat being squeezed through a machine, looks real yummy

On the same site, I found this Mistra vaibad commercial. Is that a terveyssidemainos? I don't quite get it - the girl is stark naked... I mean, how can you achieve uusi mugavusi if you're not even wearing the pad?

But she's lying on red velvet... so maybe that's the pad... And it's already red so stains won't show...

I'm soooo going to get my coat!
