Renting boats/motorboats..?

Post by rauginta_kojine » Thu Jul 31, 2008 9:26 pm

Hei everybody,

Today me and my boyfriend were in one nice town..and were thinking about a possibility to rent a motorboat, for example.
I wanted to ask if we have to have any "right" to drive the boat, as "driving licence" for boats?
Or does it work simply as we pay money and they give us the boat for agreed period of time?

Waiting for informatious replies. Thanks! :)

Never heard that there even could be licence to drive a boat, you have tho remember that you cant drive a boat under influence and no speeding near harbours.
I drived small boat with 20hp motor when i were 10 :) So ill say no licence needed and im finnish if that counts.
About renting i dont know sorry.
