Hi,
I'm looking for companies that supply materials such as sculpting clay, fibre glass material( sheets and resin etc) blocks of polystyrene, sculpting tools, foams, plastics, sheet metals etc.
Does any one know of any companies that do some or all of these things?

problem with "arts supply" stores is I can buy a cubic meter of clay from a hardware store and sell it you with an zimbabwe inflation markup as "artist clay"... nevertheless theres your local arts and crafts stores and the model kit stores that have some of the special stuff...
a lot of the bulk can be got from hardware stores... theres artists stores in your locality... what I'd do is call the local "kansanopisto" teacher who teaches pottery for example and ask where to buy clay... I think it can be ordered in bulk... though joining to the courses you get the access to the kiln... also some places if you joined the local "artist society" you got a discount% from some of the local art supply stores
fibreglass and polystyrene is at K-rauta or whatever the local cheap hardware place is... you probably can use the same glassfiber rolls people use for their walls... so cheapest is HongKong usually (they also have resin and putty and some alu profiles and stuff...) Motonet and Biltema also might be worth a look for some stuff... Biltema and Claes Ohlsson have a lot of "hobby art" stuff these days
and then - there is Etola for "everything rubber and plastic" but I am not sure if the Hämeenkatu one has the "industrial" side you can get plastic sheets with the square meter...
so what I said you see the same stuff sold in different places with a huge price difference so you need to know what you buy and from where...

oh yeah, and depending on what "clay" like kiln clay they sell keramiikkasavi as in punasavi and valkosavi and then these cern- diwi and whatnot different kind of "clays" that go as askartelumassa and then there is muovailuvaha which is used also for sculpting or making molds... that stuff is best ordered in bulk from places say lindell that supply schools' arts & crafts classess... gypsum is cheapest from a hardware store in 10 kilo sacks... general stuff places like this http://www.tuubi.com/ might be of help.

We got a catalogue from this place http://www.slojd-detaljer.se/pslweb/Def ... px?skin=fi and I was suprised by the amount of better known brands in this catalogue. Can't comment on the prices through.
