Post by r32 » Mon Aug 18, 2008 12:42 pm

I would like to know, if somebody knows, what is a basic salary of an experienced jeweller in Helsinki area? I don't expect necesarly an exact salary but at least some examples...

Thanks for your help!

A lot of jewellers do sub-contract "piece" work ie: you get paid per item. Since alot of the work is small scale mass production the prices are abit low so you do have to pull your finger out!
Custom work and full time employment are abit thin on the ground, no idea of what the average salary would be but i guess nothing spectacular, just enough to get by on.
Might be best to set yourself a bench and ask around several places for whatever they have available workwise and try doing a few specials on the side...
Best of luck and if you need a stone setter let me know
