hello everyone. i recently got my invitation letter for the entrance exam from haaga-helia uas. well... i applied for the degree programme in international business starting in january 09. only two varsities offered study place for this session. haaga-helia and kymenlaakso as you know. i kept kymen as the 2nd preference. now... they told me that i have to come to finland for the exam. i am from bangladesh. we dont have any finish ebasshy here. so i have to go to india to get visa. anyways. i have some serious confusions going on. the first thing is for how many days i wll get visa? i mean will have to return to my coutry after exam or wait there for the result? then... how should i prepare for the exam? i come from a totally commerce background. i didnt have any math or science related subject in my high school. so i am really tensed abt the exam. any idea about the questios of international business? any suggestions? i heared that very few students takes part in this session as they have to go to finland for the exam.. is it true? anyways. plz give your opinios. will really appreciate it. thanks a lot.

If there is no embassy in Bangladesh to organize the test, you indeed have to come to Finland for the test.
After the test you have to go back and wait if you are excepted.
And if you got excepted, you have to apply for a residence permit, witch will take about two month.

Forget applying for the residence permit for an entrance examination. With 99.99% probability your application will be rejected. Apply again in January - February 2009, as on the "main" application round (i.e. spring), all UAS's are co-operating and many of them arrange the examinations in Bangladesh.

haai man... i was thinking the same. i contacted with the finish embassy in india and they said that they will issue me visa for maximum a week. so both my parents suggested me to take the next session. oh ielts part wont be a problem. i have already got 7 in my ielts under british council. well... is there any uas in helsinki which arranges exams in bangladesh? i am mainly interested in the business realted subs like international business or management etc etc. anyways. thank you again man for your kind rep.
